Preconstruction Manager

Flatiron Construction Corp is seeking a highly skilled Preconstruction Manager to lead preconstruction activities for one or more projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in estimating, design development, and client relations during the pursuit and preconstruction contract phases.
Key Responsibilities- Manage project pursuits by working closely with proposal managers, lead estimators, business development managers, and project sponsors.
- Develop and manage pursuit timelines and deliverables, attending all schedule and proposal meetings to ensure submission includes all necessary data and documentation.
- Review design schedules and construction plans to identify cost savings opportunities within contract specifications.
- Work with design managers to develop the best possible technical solution.
- Develop project-specific client management strategies and manage client expectations and communication based on contract specifications and owner needs.
- Support the project hand-off between the bid and construction teams to ensure proper execution of construction plans and client expectations.
- Maintain knowledge of the company's values and strategic plan.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of construction industry experience related to project pursuits, including estimating and/or project management.
- Alternative delivery experience required.
- Prior heavy civil design-build project delivery experience highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of constructability and ability to identify and interpret risk strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience leading partnering and teaming agreements.
- Understanding of cost estimating practices, development, and implementation.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license.
