Respiratory Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Equipment Coordinator to join our team at St. Luke's University Health Network. As a key member of our respiratory therapy department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our respiratory equipment and supplies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain a high level of inventory control for respiratory equipment and supplies.
- Coordinate the ordering and stocking of necessary supplies and equipment.
- Collaborate with bio-medical engineers to repair and maintain equipment.
- Ensure compliance with infection control guidelines and safety protocols.
- Provide education and training to respiratory therapy students and new employees on equipment processing and safety procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and supplies.
- Monitor and report on equipment usage and maintenance needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; student enrolled in respiratory therapy program preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software.
- Prior hospital experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work weekends and as needed based on departmental needs.
This position requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively is essential.
