The Role

This position as a Mechatronics Specialist offers an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team. As part of our Operations Maintenance crew, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing material handling equipment (MHE) and pneumatic systems within our facilities. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure seamless operations, troubleshooting issues related to electrical and mechanical systems, and mentoring junior technicians in their growth.

Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of safety by adhering to strict protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance routines, accurately documenting results.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems affecting MHE, including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
  • Foster positive working relationships across the entire Amazon Stores facility.
  • Track and store departmental inventory efficiently.
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk during extended periods, often exceeding 12 hours.
Requirements
  • Minimum one year experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Previous expertise in repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or similar mechanical/controls systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
  • Proven ability to adhere to Safety Standards.
  • One year experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems.
