Job Overview

Position Title: Environmental Analyst

The primary responsibility of the Environmental Analyst is to assist the Environmental Program Manager in overseeing the Environmental Compliance initiatives within the organization. This role encompasses a wide range of duties related to Environmental Compliance Baseline Assessments (ECBA) across various medical treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough planning, scheduling, and execution of ECBA's for multiple military medical facilities.
  • Engage in the development and delivery of quarterly webinars aimed at educating facility managers and environmental leads on relevant environmental topics.
  • Support the creation and dissemination of training materials, ensuring they are reviewed and approved prior to each session.
  • Assist in the production of training videos, ensuring they are accessible and updated regularly to reflect current practices.
  • Prepare and present Environmental Program Requirements (EPR) briefings to environmental leads on a quarterly basis.
  • Draft budget estimates and coordinate with public health entities to secure necessary funding for environmental programs.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations for program improvements and regulatory changes.
  • Compile reports and documentation that accurately reflect organizational policies and positions.
  • Collaborate with federal and non-federal entities to address environmental challenges and participate in community working groups.
  • Contribute to the development of standardized environmental policies across military branches.
  • Support compliance assessments conducted by external agencies.
  • Develop metrics to evaluate program success and effectiveness.
  • Attend meetings and present findings on behalf of the Environmental Program.
  • Travel may be required up to 50% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental sciences and engineering principles.
  • Experience with environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
