As a member of our chemistry department, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students, conducting research, and contributing to the development of our academic programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach and develop courses in organic chemistry, including the two-semester sequence with lab
- Conduct research in organic chemistry, involving undergraduate students and informing classroom instruction
- Develop and maintain a research program, including securing funding and publishing research
- Contribute to departmental and college-wide initiatives, such as curriculum development and assessment
- Advise and mentor students, including undergraduate research projects and thesis guidance
- PhD in chemistry or a related field
- Demonstrated teaching experience and a commitment to student-centered education
- Postdoctoral experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to departmental and college-wide initiatives
