Changing Paths of NC 2 is a 60-bed inpatient facility dedicated to substance abuse rehabilitation, situated in Clinton, NC. Our organization also encompasses outpatient services and a methadone clinic, aimed at assisting individuals in achieving healthier lifestyles while addressing their mental health requirements. Our mission is to be the leading provider of substance abuse and mental health services in Sampson County, grounded in our core values of patient-centered care, quality, integrity, teamwork, commitment, and responsiveness.

We are currently seeking a Certified or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to become an integral part of our multidisciplinary team. This role is essential in delivering exceptional care to our patients through comprehensive assessments and group therapy sessions. Under the guidance of the Director of Social Services, the counselor will actively participate in team meetings, lead group activities, assist with discharge planning, and conduct patient assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to provide services to individuals and families, focusing on the treatment of diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and contribute to the development of treatment plans.
  • Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions as dictated by the patient's treatment plan.
  • Develop initial treatment plans based on assessments and coordinate any additional required services, making revisions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of counseling services provided, adhering to both facility and professional standards.
  • Manage a designated caseload effectively.
  • Engage in treatment team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to enhance patient services, in alignment with their treatment plans.
  • Provide services in both inpatient and outpatient settings as needed.
  • Perform case management and assist with discharge or aftercare planning when required.
  • Exhibit a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor towards all patients, addressing any unmet needs and prioritizing patient safety.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Complete other assigned tasks and functions as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • LADC certification is mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Compensation: $60.00 per hour
