Overview
Fairview Health Services is seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Imaging Specialist to become a vital member of our Pediatric Echo Lab team.
Sign-On Bonus: $9,000 available.
The Pediatric Cardiac Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting non-invasive cardiac diagnostic imaging utilizing ultrasound technology, assisting physicians in diagnosing and managing cardiac conditions.
In this role, you will be expected to assess pediatric patients with complex congenital heart disorders.
The Pediatric Heart Center is composed of a dedicated team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, skilled practitioners, nurses, and healthcare professionals focused on delivering critical care to individuals with heart ailments.
Our heart specialists have a rich history of clinical excellence, research, and innovation, including pioneering advancements in valve replacements, transplants, and cardiac resuscitation techniques.
We integrate a profound understanding of academic medicine with advanced clinical care to customize our treatment approaches for each patient's unique needs.
Schedule:
This position operates at 0.6 FTE (48 hours biweekly), with a Monday through Friday day shift and on-call responsibilities (60-minute response time).

Responsibilities
As a Pediatric Cardiac Imaging Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
1. Demonstrating proficiency in evaluating cardiac health through a systematic and detailed analysis of the heart and associated structures.
2. Assessing pediatric patients with intricate congenital heart conditions.
3. Providing essential echocardiographic data, performing quantitative assessments, and effectively communicating findings to physicians.
4. Accurately preparing preliminary echocardiogram reports.
5. Exhibiting comprehensive knowledge of the incidence, causes, inheritance patterns, and pathological implications of congenital anomalies.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate of Applied Science Degree in Non-Invasive Imaging
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - adult
- BLS Certification within three months of hire
- Experience in Echocardiography
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Non-Invasive Imaging
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - pediatric, fetal
- Experience in Pediatric Echocardiography
