About the Job:
The successful candidate will have experience in a fast-paced urgent care environment and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You will be required to supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants as necessary, and demonstrate thorough knowledge of infection control procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for instructing patients on medication and treatment, posting test results to charts, and explaining and distributing patient education materials.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assess new patients and develop treatment plans
* Monitor and manage ongoing patient care
* Record and update patient charts
* Conduct patient interviews and record relevant information
* Provide instruction on sample collection and testing
* Perform medical procedures and treatments
* Maintain infection control procedures
* Respond to phone calls during shifts
* Instruct patients on medication and treatment
* Post test results to charts
* Explain and distribute patient education materials

Requirements:
* Valid medical license in the state of Louisiana
* CDS Controlled Substance License (if applicable)
* DEA Drug Enforcement Agency Registration Number (if applicable)
* Completion of medical school with passing grades on state board exams
* ACLS/BLS/PALS Certification(s) required
* Demonstrates effective medical decision-making skills
* Eligible for Louisiana Prescriptive Authority
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
