Job Summary:

Forrest General Hospital seeks a highly skilled and experienced Patient Care Coordinator to oversee the admission and concurrent review of all federally funded and other focused patient groups. The ideal candidate will ensure that quality assurance monitoring and evaluation systems are implemented and ongoing throughout the hospital, meeting regulatory standards. This role requires a deep understanding of patient care and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and organizational leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with evidence-based practices in psychiatry and apply this knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and leadership to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Qualifications:

This role requires a medical degree from a reputable institution and licensure to practice medicine in the State of Mississippi. The ideal candidate will have no pending malpractice suits and be certified in psychiatry. Proof of malpractice insurance is also required.

Mental Demands:

This role demands the ability to plan, supervise, and execute a medical program. The successful candidate will be able to express ideas clearly and concisely, exercising balanced judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
