Position Overview:

Dental Care Alliance is seeking a dedicated Dental Hygiene Assistant to support our clinical team in delivering exceptional patient care and satisfaction. This role involves a variety of clinical responsibilities within a collaborative environment, offering opportunities for professional development and growth. A strong emphasis is placed on outstanding customer service and effective communication.

Work Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 7:50 AM - 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:
The following duties are associated with the role of Dental Hygiene Assistant; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed:

  • Collect and manage patient documentation, including medical histories.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization.
  • Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained.
  • Adhere to office policies, including compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
  • Welcome patients into treatment areas and assist them throughout their visit.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks as scheduled.
  • Review patient medical histories and input relevant information into the system. Conduct initial consultations and document findings, including intra-oral images for the dentist.
  • Capable of taking appropriate radiographs as required.
  • Obtain necessary consents for patient treatments.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Completion of a Dental Assisting Program is preferred; x-ray certification is mandatory.
