Role Responsibilities and QualificationsAs a Clinical Dietitian, you will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, organization, and evaluation of nutritional care for patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric. Your role will include:
- Conducting nutritional assessments and evaluations, as well as meal pattern calculations.
- Maintaining and reviewing nutritional care plans, correlating medical and nutritional care, and participating in care plan meetings.
- Implementing diet prescriptions and preparing individualized meal plans.
- Contributing to the daily operations of the Food and Nutrition Services department, focusing on meal service and quality improvement.
- Developing nutritional counseling materials and providing guidance to patients and their families.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to assess and implement nutritional care plans.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field is required.
- Licensure by the State of Texas is mandatory, or you must obtain it within four months of hire.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the American Dietetic Association / Commission on Dietetic Registration is necessary.
