PT Center Store Assistant

As a PT Center Store Assistant at Food Lion, you will be responsible for maintaining standards in accordance with the standard practice manual, maximizing sales through excellent customer service and minimizing shrink through proper utilization of standard practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining shelf allocations by stocking from tag to tag
  • Placing only saleable merchandise on the shelves
  • Ensuring that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with policies and guidelines
  • Maintaining a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies and standard practice
  • Understanding and following Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures
  • Reporting all associate and customer accidents in accordance with established Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations
  • Wearing the Food Lion uniform, complete with name badge, when on duty, and having a neat and clean appearance while adhering to the Food Lion dress code
  • Successfully completing Computer Based Training (CBT), Training Packet and Training Aid courses
  • Having a high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Being able to use computers and other communication systems required to perform job functions
  • Being able to handle a variety of substances associated with cleaning and packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, house plants/flowers and household cleaners
  • Using hands to frequently/continuously handle currency (paper and coin) as well as operate a variety of equipment such as cash register, lottery machine (where applicable), scanner, computer, and calculator
  • Having sufficient visual ability to check ID cards, checks, invoices and other written documents
