We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our mission-critical data pipeline development team, you will design, construct, and maintain large-scale data processing pipelines that are robust, flexible, and cost-efficient.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement data processing pipelines using Python, PySpark, and Java to transform data sets into standard data models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency across the entire data pipeline.
- Design and implement data conditioning strategies to optimize data processing and improve efficiency.
- Develop and maintain software documentation, including ETL transformations, mappings, and code use guides.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to improve data quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Minimum of 16 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; 14 years with a Master's degree; 10 years with a Ph.D.
- Expert knowledge of Python, PySpark, and Java.
- Experience with ETL of large datasets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to mentor and coach teammates.
- Ability to collaborate with customers, including senior management, data scientists, and end users.
- TS/SCI with poly clearance.
