At Viper Northwest, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Inspector to join our team in a swing shift position. As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for measuring, examining, testing, and gauging characteristics of parts and materials to ensure they meet specified requirements. This position will provide support in the Quality Department, including quality inspections at all stages of the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and accurately interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Perform quality inspections at all stages of the manufacturing process, including first article, in-production, and final inspection.
  • Record measurement data accurately in the appropriate format.
  • Accept or reject part/material, verify measurements, and make minor repairs.
  • Participate in quality engineering, testing, and analysis work when needed to resolve and/or prevent issues.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or other post-high school vocational training in a related field plus minimum of 2 years of experience performing inspection in a build-to-print environment.
  • 5 years of experience and demonstrated competency to perform duties in a build-to-print environment may substitute for post-high school training.
  • CMM, PC-DMIS, MicroVu experience preferred.
  • Quality Inspector Certification (ASQ CQI) preferred.
Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of and experience with manufacturing process and quality control of various machining, such as CNC, VMC, etc.
  • Knowledge of material properties and characteristics (metals).
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) for defining and engineering tolerances.
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with measurement tools and techniques (CMM).
Work Environment:

The majority of work is performed in an office environment, but includes visits to manufacturing areas. Standing, stairs, and occasional lifting, carrying, reaching, bending, and stooping may be necessary. Exposure to loud noises may be experienced during an average workday. Use of PPE required in manufacturing areas.
