Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Utility Clerk Part Time at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our club, ensuring a safe and positive environment for our members and team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general maintenance and cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Gather and return carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
  • Remove trash and debris from the parking lot, cart corrals, and exterior of the club.
  • Ensure carts are well-stocked at the club entrance and verify that all carts are in working order and clean.
  • Return new and unused merchandise to the sales floor.
  • Perform maintenance and cleaning duties, including operating the floor scrubber, trash compactor, and cardboard baler machines.
  • Restock maintenance and cleaning supplies and ensure supply areas are clean and organized.
  • Perform minor and routine building repairs and notify management when major repairs are required.
Requirements
  • Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
  • Prior maintenance or janitorial experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Prior retail or wholesale experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 30 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

This role requires frequent exposure to company authorized cleaning agents and occasional exposure to paint and company authorized chemicals. You will work both indoors and outdoors with regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $15.00-$18.00 per hour. At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
