About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Conservator of Paintings to join our team at Colonial Williamsburg. The Conservator of Paintings will be responsible for supervising the operation of the paintings conservation laboratory and providing expert guidance on conservation treatments and research. If you have a strong background in art conservation and excellent leadership skills, we encourage you to apply

Key Responsibilities:
* Propose and carry out conservation treatments
* Research and develop new approaches to conservation treatment
* Oversee the conservation lab staff and provide training as needed
* Collaborate with curatorial staff, museum professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the highest level of care for our collections

Requirements:
* Graduate degree in conservation or a related field
* At least 7 years of experience in conservation, preferably in a recognized institution
* Demonstrated history of proposed, completed, and documented conservation treatments
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Benefits:
