Key Responsibilities:
Essential Duties:
Conduct diagnostic PET/CT and CT imaging procedures, which include: administering radiopharmaceuticals and/or IV contrast, setting up protocols, positioning patients, reconstructing and capturing images, transferring images over the network, and archiving image data.
Assist in scheduling procedures and managing front office tasks to ensure efficient workflow.
Verify the accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution, and patient records.
Support the collection of clinical data for patient follow-up and the development of educational materials.
Ensure safety for patients and self by adhering to established safety protocols. Perform daily quality control checks to monitor equipment performance.
Report any equipment malfunctions or service needs to the appropriate personnel.
Manage patient data and imaging files, including printing, archiving, retrieving, and tracking loaned or requested films.
Understand the contraindications associated with IV contrast administration, recognize potential reactions, and know the appropriate response procedures.
Order necessary office and medical supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Mobile PET-CT Imaging Specialist position will possess the following qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or from an accredited program, or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program with PET/CT certification.
At least two (2) years of prior experience in PET & CT or nuclear medicine is preferred.
General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems is beneficial.
Certification as a CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) and/or ARRT (Nuclear) along with state licensure as required by law.
