Position Overview:We are looking for a dedicated Geospatial Survey Specialist to join our esteemed consulting firm, Martenson and Eisele, Inc. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who wishes to contribute to our expanding land surveying and engineering team. The candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Execute a variety of surveying assignments as directed by a Project Manager, working under their close supervision.
- Operate independently with minimal oversight, ensuring all work is reviewed by the Project Manager.
- Conduct field surveying or construction staking services, including construction observation when necessary.
- Exhibit no physical limitations that would hinder the ability to work in adverse weather conditions or challenging terrains, remain standing or walking for extended periods, or lift up to 40 pounds.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other surveying software for topographic surveys, construction layout and staking, and the creation of certified survey maps, plats of survey, and ALTA surveys.
- Capable of operating Robotic Total Station/GPS and data collection systems.
- Communicate effectively with project teams across various offices.
- Demonstrate the ability to guide staff on project-specific tasks and maintain professional communication with clients, colleagues, and agencies.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets and contribute to billing obligations as required.
- Willingness to provide overtime to meet project deadlines.
- Support any additional tasks assigned in alignment with the company's objectives.
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in surveying from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Land Surveyor License/Registration is preferred but not mandatory.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
