We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor of Biochemistry to join our team at Alabama A&M University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching biochemistry and related courses, conducting research in standard biochemistry instrumentation, and mentoring students.

• Teach biochemistry and other related courses to undergraduate and graduate students
• Conduct research in standard biochemistry instrumentation, including UV-V, FT-IR, GC, GC/MS, HPLC, and/or NMR
• Mentor and advise students in their academic and research pursuits
• Assist in enhancing the current curriculum and developing new courses

• Ph.D. in Chemistry with emphasis in Biochemistry
• 3-5 years of demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and services
• Exposure to forensic chemistry and postdoctoral experience are added advantages
