Job Summary:
The Patient Transport & Lift Team Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients within the healthcare facility. This position requires a high level of customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport patients between patient care units and other ancillary departments, utilizing patient lifting equipment and safe patient handling policies and procedures.
- Maintain and inventory patient lifting equipment, ensuring proper hygiene and functionality.
- Assist with employee education and training on patient lifting equipment and transfer techniques.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare staff.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must be 18 years old to be considered for position.
- Basic understanding of communication equipment, such as pagers and phones.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
