Job Title: Radiologic Technologist

Job Summary:

Infojini is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for applying ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from Radiation Oncologists. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and other staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver radiation therapy to patients with minimal supervision.
  • Verify patient information and prepare treatment rooms and equipment.
  • Monitor patients' conditions during treatment and recognize signs of treatment complications.
  • Explain procedures to patients and provide guidance on emergency procedures.
  • Reinforce Radiation Oncologists' advice to patients regarding treatment reactions and care.

Department-Specific Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality assurance checks on treatment plans prior to treatment.
  • Perform image fusion daily on patients' treatment plans, verifying planned treatment fields match areas of interest.
  • Perform custom immobilization through fabrication of patient-specific immobilization devices to accurately align patients for daily radiation therapy.
  • Follow principles of radiation protection for patients, self, and others.
  • Conduct daily quality assurance checks on radiation delivery equipment.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and other staff.
  • Ability to perform complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge and judgment.
  • Ability to supervise radiation therapy students.

Education:
Required

  • College diploma in radiation therapy.

OR

  • Certificate in radiation therapy.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
ARRT (T), BLS (American Heart Assoc.), Illinois IEMA License in Radiation Therapy
