Join Our Team as a Culinary Specialist

Lighthouse Memory Care is seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our passionate team. This role operates under the guidance of the Director of Culinary Services and plays a vital part in our Culinary Service Department and Dining Room operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Culinary Services in planning, directing, and overseeing culinary operations.
  • Ensure the quality of meals served and maintain high standards of service delivery during meal times.
  • Comply with special dietary requirements and preferences of our residents.
  • Monitor food temperatures and adhere to safety standards during food storage, preparation, and serving.
  • Engage with residents in the dining area to gauge their satisfaction and preferences regarding meals.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in both kitchen and dining spaces.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by supporting colleagues and demonstrating initiative.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine compassion for and desire to work with seniors.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • At least one year of experience in food service is required; three years is preferred.
  • Food Handlers Permit (as required by state regulations).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
