Join Our Team as a Culinary Specialist
Lighthouse Memory Care is seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our passionate team. This role operates under the guidance of the Director of Culinary Services and plays a vital part in our Culinary Service Department and Dining Room operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Culinary Services in planning, directing, and overseeing culinary operations.
- Ensure the quality of meals served and maintain high standards of service delivery during meal times.
- Comply with special dietary requirements and preferences of our residents.
- Monitor food temperatures and adhere to safety standards during food storage, preparation, and serving.
- Engage with residents in the dining area to gauge their satisfaction and preferences regarding meals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in both kitchen and dining spaces.
- Foster a collaborative work environment by supporting colleagues and demonstrating initiative.
- Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
- A genuine compassion for and desire to work with seniors.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- At least one year of experience in food service is required; three years is preferred.
- Food Handlers Permit (as required by state regulations).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
