Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair diesel vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other components
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and identify issues
  • Document all repairs and maintenance performed accurately
  • Keep a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate with the service advisor and parts department to ensure timely and accurate repairs
  • Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and changes in technology
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
  • Assist and mentor apprentices and less-experienced technicians as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a diesel technician
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and other components
  • Strong diagnostic skills and ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent time-management and multitasking skills
  • Must have own tools
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
