Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Hospitality Host to enhance our guests' experiences at Muriale's Italian Restaurant. This role involves warmly welcoming visitors, guiding them to their seats, and ensuring they have a memorable dining experience.


The ideal candidate is a personable individual who excels at establishing connections with guests and fostering a friendly environment. You should be detail-oriented, capable of juggling various tasks, and possess strong organizational and communication skills to provide the best service for guests and restaurant staff alike.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome guests and escort them to their tables or waiting areas.
  • Present menus to guests.
  • Allocate tables based on guests' needs and ensure a balanced distribution for the serving staff.
  • Inform guests about ongoing promotions and introduce their servers to facilitate a seamless transition to service.
  • Regulate the flow of guests into dining and bar areas, providing accurate wait times when necessary.
  • Handle cash register operations for food and beverage payments.
  • Respond to phone inquiries.
  • Process take-out orders as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized host stand for a welcoming appearance.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in restaurant hosting or serving is preferred.
  • Friendly demeanor with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Ability to deliver clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as comprehend requests for assistance.
  • Capable of effectively communicating guests' needs to Servers, Bussers, and Managers.
