Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled PACU RN to provide immediate post-operative care to a variety of surgical patients. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-acuity setting and be proficient in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor vital signs and manage symptoms of anesthesia
  • Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
  • Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
  • 1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high-acuity setting preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
