As a national medical staffing organization, DT-Healthcare Staffing collaborates with various healthcare systems.

Active state nursing license required at the time of application.

Flu vaccination is mandatory.

Role Summary:

The travel nurse will coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across different age groups, demonstrating professional expertise and an understanding of specific patient conditions and treatments. The role requires independent execution of nursing assignments in accordance with established guidelines, including physician directives and nursing policies.

Position Challenges:

Clinical judgments must be made autonomously during shifts, with full accountability for nursing actions. In complex situations, consultation with management may be necessary. The nurse must remain composed and make informed decisions in emergency scenarios, ensuring proper delegation and oversight of support staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibility #1 (30%):

Uphold the standards of excellence in patient care; deliver safe and effective nursing interventions for patients with complex health issues while adhering to infection control protocols; prioritize care based on patient needs and conditions; anticipate and address potential complications; manage and document nursing procedures in line with established protocols; ensure accurate administration of medications; collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes; provide education and support to patients and their families; maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Responsibility #2 (30%):

Conduct thorough nursing assessments through patient interviews and observations; gather and analyze patient data relevant to their age and health status; document assessment findings accurately; identify nursing diagnoses and develop care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team; ensure clear communication of patient care plans and updates.

Responsibility #3 (25%):

Educate patients and families to enhance understanding and decision-making; evaluate the effectiveness of educational interventions; participate in patient care conferences; identify educational needs and develop relevant programs; document educational efforts and patient progress.

Responsibility #4 (10%):

Foster positive communication with staff, patients, and healthcare team members; assist in the orientation of new staff; provide constructive feedback and guidance; adhere to and promote departmental policies and standards.

Responsibility #5 (5%):

Engage in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of nursing practices.
