- Serve as a principal contact to government agencies, other conservation organizations, foundations, and the academic community
- Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to advance conservation goals
- Manage complex projects, negotiate with stakeholders, and secure funding to support conservation efforts
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in conservation practice, ecological restoration, invasive species control, and ecological dynamics in the Midwest
To be successful in this role, you will need a BA/BS degree and 5-7 years of related work experience (or equivalent combination). You should have a strong background in leading and motivating teams, partnership development, project management, negotiation, and fundraising. Experience with GIS and prescribed fire practices is also highly desirable.
What We OfferThis is a hands-on field-oriented job with an expected 30% or more time spent in the field. Overnight travel is regularly required. We offer a competitive benefits package and a compensation range that begins at $66,600 and is commensurate with experience.
