Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Groundperson to join our team at Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC - 063. As a Groundperson, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to tree pruning and removal, right-of-way clearing and maintenance, vegetation management, and emergency storm work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate chainsaws to cut brush, logs, and stumps of larger trees.
  • Drag, gather, and feed brush into wood chippers.
  • Service vehicles and equipment, maintaining them in neat, clean, and specified mechanical order.
  • Perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and exposure to nature.
  • Work around hazardous equipment and follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be willing to join the local union and pay union dues.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in forestry or a related field is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Standing, walking, and manual dexterity are required for frequent tasks.
