We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at IU Health Methodist Hospital. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Certification Requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Job Details: IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour.
- Local and Traveler Opportunities: ICU, PCU, and M/S Peds and Adult RNs residing in the state of Indiana are considered local and will be accepted at the local rate.
- First Time Travelers Accepted: We welcome first-time travelers to join our team.
- Call-Ins and Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other weekend per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need.
- Charge Coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
- Skillset Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience and 2 years of overall RN experience are required.
- Skillset Preferences: Management of dysrhythmias and interpretation of dysrhythmias are preferred.
- Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals.
- Staffing Ratios: A 1:5-6 staffing ratio is expected.
- Unit Information: The unit will care for post-operative patients with urology, GYN, GI, ortho, etc. and some pre-op patients.
- COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement: Effective 9/1, the COVID-19 vaccine is required for all travelers at IU Health campuses. Declinations will not be accepted; however, medical or religious exemptions will be accepted with a doctor's note provided.

- Overall Experience: A minimum of 2 years of overall RN experience is required.
- Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12 shifts are required.
