Work Schedule: Expect to work 40+ hours weekly, with potential weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee mechanical projects, including the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of various commercial and industrial HVAC systems, such as hydronic and chilled water systems, DX, forced air, heat pumps, and more.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Work independently or collaboratively, providing guidance to team members as necessary.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment effectively.
- Maintain high standards of mechanical installation practices.
- Adhere to safety protocols and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow detailed project installation plans accurately.
- Keep thorough records of work performed.
- Be flexible with work hours, including early mornings and late nights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of duct installation experience.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Understanding of the refrigeration cycle.
- Basic knowledge of DDC controls.
- Proficient in safely operating hand and power tools.
- Capability to work at heights using ladders, boom lifts, and scaffolding.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform various physical tasks.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug test is required.
Education and Experience:
- At least five years of experience in commercial service or installation.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Valid driver's license is necessary.
- CFC Universal Refrigerant Certification is mandatory.
- Additional certifications such as forklift operation, first responder, and CPR are advantageous.
