Job Summary

As an Athletic Trainer at Geisinger Health System, you will provide high-quality care to athletes and patients in a preventive, emergency, and rehabilitative manner. You will work closely with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans, and document patient care and treatment in accordance with medical center policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Athletic Training Services to Geisinger contracted organizations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of community programs that support the Orthopaedics service line
  • Establish and maintain community relations and provide educational programs for coaches, athletes, and community members
  • Perform initial patient assessments and screenings, and develop and distribute ongoing patient education information
  • Engage in prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of student athlete injuries
Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Athletic Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or a related field, and be certified as an Athletic Trainer. A Master's Degree is preferred. The candidate should also have experience working in a clinical environment and be proficient in therapeutic modalities, rehabilitation equipment, and first aid supplies.
