Job Title: Travel MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Travel MRI Technologist to join our team at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Job Summary:

The Travel MRI Technologist will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology and experience working with MRI technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including explaining the procedure and positioning the patient
  • Monitor patients during procedures and ensure their safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Maintain accurate records of patient procedures and images
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
  • ARRT certification and BLS certification
  • Experience working with GE and Siemens MRI equipment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a travel or contract position
  • Skills in abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral magnetic resonance, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2, CINE
  • Preferred patient group familiarity: neonates, infants, peds
Work Schedule:

The Travel MRI Technologist will work a 4x8 schedule, with nights on Tuesday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be available to work a maximum of 7 days per week.
