We are currently seeking a skilled Pre-Litigation/Litigation Attorney to manage and facilitate legal matters pertaining to personal injury cases. The selected candidate will advocate for clients who have endured injuries due to negligence or accidents, ensuring they receive just compensation from liable parties.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Interaction and Case Assessment:

  • Engage with clients to evaluate their personal injury claims.
  • Collect and scrutinize pertinent information, including medical documentation, accident reports, and witness accounts, to determine the viability of the case.
  • Identify liability and ascertain potential responsible parties for the injuries sustained.

Negotiation and Settlement Facilitation:

  • Negotiate with insurance providers, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to secure equitable settlements for clients.
  • Assess settlement proposals and guide clients on optimal courses of action.
  • Negotiate compensation for medical expenses, property damage, lost earnings, and emotional distress.

Documentation and Case Preparation:

  • Draft and prepare demand letters detailing the client's injuries, liability, and damages.
  • Organize and compile supporting evidence, medical records, accident documentation, and other relevant materials.
  • Accurately calculate damages, taking into account medical expenses, future care, lost income, and other significant factors.

Client Communication:

  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to provide updates on case developments and address inquiries.
  • Inform clients about the legal process, their rights, and possible outcomes.
  • Manage client expectations regarding settlement discussions and potential litigation.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR):

  • Investigate alternative dispute resolution options, such as mediation or arbitration, to achieve effective and satisfactory results for clients.

Legal Research and Strategic Development:

  • Stay informed on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents affecting personal injury cases.
  • Formulate effective legal strategies to enhance clients' claims and maximize compensation.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with legal team members, including paralegals and investigators, to gather information and build a robust case.
  • Work with medical professionals, accident reconstruction experts, and other specialists to bolster the case.

Case Management:

  • Maintain precise and organized case records, documentation, and correspondence.
  • Monitor critical deadlines, statutes of limitations, and other legal obligations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law institution.
  • Active legal license in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Strong grasp of personal injury laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to manage multiple cases concurrently.
  • Proficient in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Empathetic and client-centered approach to case management.
  • Experience in pre-litigation personal injury matters is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Bi-lingual/Spanish is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000 - $100,000 annually
