Ryder is seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL A to join our team. As a solo driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to various locations in Northern California, Reno, and Carson City.
Key Responsibilities- Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
- Maintaining accurate records and logs
- Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
- Competitive pay
- Weekly pay
- Hourly pay: $30.62 per hour
- Hours per week: 45+ hours per week
- Per diem: $50.00 per night with 1 night out a week
- Nights out booked in Ryder-paid hotel
- Sign-on bonus: $1500 at 30 days and $1500 at 90 days
- Paid training
- Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided
- Paid personal time off starts at day hours accrued in first year
- Medical, dental, vision start at 30 days
- 12 weeks of paid maternity leave
