About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Child Development Specialist to join our team at Carrollton Public Schools. As a member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young children and helping them develop essential skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes learning and development in areas such as literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies.
  • Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess child progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and adjusting instruction accordingly.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and restrain children when necessary.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with staff, parents, and students.

Salary Range:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
