The Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Development Specialist II to join our team at the West Kauai Clubhouse. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily planning and implementation of our youth programs, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for our members.
Key Responsibilities- Program Planning and Implementation: Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, including Boys & Girls Club core program concepts and curriculums, to promote high-yield learning and healthy lifestyles.
- Guidance: Provide guidance to youth members in making positive choices for proper behaviors, assist with following Club rules, and develop positive plans of action for change.
- Marketing & Community Relations: Assist in promoting programs through creative and attractive daily program schedules, signs, posters, and announcements.
- Administrative Support: Assist with preparing requisitions for program supplies and equipment, and attend scheduled staff meetings.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year experience working with elementary, middle school, and/or teen population.
- Patient and kind, with great customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Valid current driver's license required.
