We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect to join our team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a key member of our Commercial Market team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure that all designs meet the required building codes and regulations.
- Develop and manage full sets of construction documentation, including plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Research and specify building materials, working closely with manufacturers to determine costs and feasibility.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure design quality and compliance.
- Work with other design professionals, including in-house and subcontracted teams, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Attend client meetings, take minutes, and provide updates on project progress.
- Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and submittals.
- Contribute to the creation of proposals and client meeting materials.
- Mentor and oversee junior design team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Conduct site visits for construction administration duties.
- Assist Project Managers in developing work plans and budgets.
- Support the preparation of fees, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
- Work closely with clients to coordinate project activities, provide feedback, and address concerns.
- Represent the company as the on-site project representative.
- Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited university.
- Registered Architect preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in Revit and other design software.
- Ability to mentor and lead junior team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
