Position Overview:
Tact Staff is actively seeking a travel nurse with expertise in Special Procedures for a nursing role. This position involves providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Implement the nursing process to deliver direct patient care.
  • Take responsibility for prescribing, delegating, and coordinating care for assigned patients.
  • Diagnose and address health responses through services such as case finding, health education, and counseling.
  • Supervise the care provided by licensed practical nurses (LPNs), registered nurses on permit (RNP), and other support staff.

Key Duties:
  • Assess the ongoing care needs of patients and their families.
  • Develop comprehensive care plans that address physical, educational, and psychosocial needs.
  • Provide direct patient care based on assessed needs and medical directives.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient responses to treatment and any significant changes in condition.
  • Coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective implementation of nursing interventions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to patient care delivery.
  • Engage in professional development and continuing education opportunities.

Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of critical care experience.
  • Proficiency in both interventional and diagnostic procedures.
  • Ability to navigate electronic health record systems and relevant healthcare technologies.

Preferred Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working alongside physicians for specialized procedures.

Work Schedule:
Shifts are typically 12 hours, with a focus on maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
