LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse Job Description

At Wayne Center, we are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Wayne, PA. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver efficient and effective nursing care to patients, achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction.
  • Evaluate patients to collect data, observe condition, and report changes in condition.
  • Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders, maintaining the highest level of patient safety.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing and be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure. Experience in rehabilitative or geriatric nursing is preferred, and you must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility.
