Job Title: Instrument Engineer III

Audubon Companies is seeking an experienced Instrument Engineer III to join our team in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing instrument engineering solutions for our clients in the energy industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain instrument engineering specifications and designs for projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement instrument control systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate project requirements and conditions, and provide expert advice on instrument design and implementation.
  • Review and approve vendor drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in instrument engineering, and apply this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in instrument engineering, preferably in the energy industry.
  • Experience with Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI), Control Valve Sizing, Meter Sizing, and Relief Valve Sizing software.
  • Working knowledge of instrument and electrical design codes (ISA, NEC, API, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
