Job Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists with prescription compounding, preparation, and processing, adhering to OCH policies and state regulations.
- Prepare medications for accurate compounding, performing basic pharmaceutical calculations as needed.
- Ensure quality standards are met by reviewing and inspecting compounded and packaged medications.
- Verify all compounding and packaging is inspected and approved by a licensed pharmacist.
- Clean and sanitize pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods.
- Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate functioning.
- Assist with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
- Train and mentor Compounding Technician Is.
High School Diploma or GED, minimum 2 years of pharmacy technician experience, Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), and licensure or registration (if required by the state).
Preferred Qualifications & InterestsPrevious healthcare or pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
