About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Rigger to join our team at TransPak, a leading provider of packaging solutions. As a Rigger, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of loads and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Secure Rigging Equipment: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that rigging equipment is in good working order, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Attach and Detach Loads: Safely attach and detach loads using all necessary safety rules and regulations.
  • Communicate with Team Members: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maneuver Loads in Confined Spaces: Safely maneuver loads through difficult and confined spaces, using your knowledge of rigging techniques and safety protocols.
  • Work with Other Riggers: Collaborate with other Riggers on the job site to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Report Concerns and Situations: Immediately report any concerns or situations to management, and escalate as necessary.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Examine and Maintain Equipment: Regularly examine equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working order, and perform maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Keep Up-to-Date with Safety Standards: Stay current with all safety standards and regulations, and ensure that all team members are aware of and comply with them.
  • Support the Project Team: Work collaboratively with the project team to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Assist with Day-to-Day Operations: Provide support with day-to-day operations, including preparing and communicating reports as needed.
Requirements
  • 2+ Years of Experience as a Rigger: We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Rigger, with a strong understanding of rigging techniques and safety protocols.
  • Material Handling Experience: Experience with material handling is essential, including the ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required, and the ability to be insured as needed.
  • Math Skills: Strong math skills are necessary for calculating load requirements.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish: Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus, but not required.
