LPN Complex Abdominal Surgical Care Specialist

Responsibilities- Collect and document patient data and observations.
- Contribute to the nursing assessment and report data to the RN or authorized healthcare provider.
- Implement the current plan of care at the direction of the RN or authorized healthcare provider.
- Document and communicate patient responses to care or treatment.
- Contribute to the revision of the nursing plan of care.
- Provide education and information to patients and family members.
- Participate in departmental orientation and maintain professional growth and development.
- Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program.
- Current Ohio License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) if working in the ED.
- One year of patient care experience preferred.
Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity, and good eye-hand coordination. Involves extensive standing and walking. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Personal Protective EquipmentFollows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
