Position Overview
OVERNIGHT & SPLIT SHIFTS AVAILABLE
Shifts include 11:30pm-8:30am Thursday through Monday and various hours on weekends
This role is essential in guiding students to foster positive living experiences and achieve their goals within the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mentorship to students to promote a constructive attitude and appropriate behavior in shared living environments.
- Facilitate student interactions with counselors as needed.
- Assist in organizing unit activities and governance.
- Monitor dormitory areas to ensure safety and compliance with behavioral standards; address any issues proactively.
- Prepare daily reports and maintain administrative documentation related to student activities.
- Support students in maintaining cleanliness and order in the dormitory.
- Manage inventory and requisition supplies necessary for dormitory living.
- Keep accurate records of student files, ensuring all documentation is current and complete.
- Document student interactions in the center's information system.
- Engage in career development initiatives by ensuring a secure living environment and modeling positive peer leadership.
- Offer guidance, counseling, and skills training for independent living.
- Uphold and advocate for the organization's Zero Tolerance Policy.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, with advanced degrees preferred. A minimum of one year of experience in a related field is necessary. A valid in-State Driver's License is preferred. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull, push, carry, reach, stoop, and crouch. Candidates should be able to lift up to 40 pounds and assess loads appropriately.
