Position Summary:

The Non-CDL Commercial Vehicle Operator at BestDrive is dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction while safely and efficiently transporting tires and other materials. This role serves as a representative of the brand in all interactions with clients and the public.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a box truck or pickup with a separate trailer to transport products, equipment, or materials.
  • Gather delivery instructions from relevant sources.
  • Plan and manage routes to optimize efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to conserve resources, including fuel, to enhance business performance.
  • Conduct daily inspections of vehicles to verify that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are functioning properly.
  • Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle maintenance records.
  • Ensure trucks are fueled and kept clean.
  • Adhere to all DOT and internal regulations and guidelines.
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Act as a BestDrive representative in all client and public interactions.
Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CDL Class A Driver's license in good standing.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • Standard work hours are typically Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with occasional Saturday and evening shifts as needed.
  • This position involves working in various indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Regularly required to stand, bend, climb, lift, and walk.
  • Must handle hazardous materials and wear appropriate protective equipment (safety shoes, gloves, protective eyewear, etc.) in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Must be able to lift 50-75 lbs. routinely, with occasional lifting of up to 100 lbs.
