Acting as a security presence within the healthcare facility, the Safety and Parking Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises.
This role involves vigilant observation, monitoring, and reporting of activities within the Huntsville Hospital Health System, utilizing effective patrol methods and responding to security situations as necessary.
Additionally, the coordinator may assist with greeting visitors, providing valet parking services, transporting patients, or managing transactions at the parking facility as required.
QualificationsEssential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
Education/Certification:
A High School diploma or GED is mandatory. Some college education is preferred. Successful completion of the Huntsville Hospital P.R.I.D.E. Academy is required.
Experience:
Prior experience in security, military, or law enforcement, along with customer service experience, is preferred. A valid driver's license and insurability by Huntsville Hospital standards are necessary. Experience in supervisory roles and healthcare settings is also advantageous.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment that requires frequent prioritization and rapid task changes is essential.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills are crucial, with the capability to enforce policies in a firm yet respectful manner.
