Key Responsibilities- Work under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer as a member of a team in the design and preparation of technical reports, analysis/calculations, and construction documents.
- Prepare accurate presentation, design, details, and construction documents.
- Prepare permit applications and submittal packages to agencies having jurisdiction.
- Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors, and other parties associated with the project.
- Perform site investigations and construction observation.
- Prepare specifications, shop drawing review, field observations, preparation of inspection reports, and other construction administration tasks.
- Collaborate with other firm engineers, architects, disciplines, project managers, and business development teams.
- Research, interpretation, and implementation of relevant codes and client requirements.
- Implementation and utilization of CPH and client standards and templates.
- Review of documents prepared by others and implementation of project quality control.
- Development and adherence to project scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Management of clients and national account programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- EI/EIT certification or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgment.
- Stormwater management, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection system design education or experience.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
- Good social, communication, written, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, quality-conscious, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
