Cartographic Technician

BGE, Inc. is seeking a skilled Cartographic Technician to join our team. The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year.

Job Summary:

The Cartographic Technician will be responsible for preparing maps, charts, and other visual aids to support land surveying projects. This includes conducting surveys, collecting data, and analyzing results.

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct topographic, construction, and boundary surveys.
• Prepare metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects.
• Conduct deed research and coordinate with contractors for construction staking needs.
• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or specialized vocational training.
• Civil 3D and/or MicroStation experience.
• Ideal candidate will have both Party Chief experience and Office technician experience.
• Experience in construction staking is a plus.
• TxDOT experience a plus.
• Ability to work outside for 8-10 hours a day and lift 50lbs.
