About the Job

We are seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to join our team at SwimKids Utah. As a Swim Teacher, you will provide one-on-one swimming lessons to kids in Layton, UT.


This entry-level position offers a competitive $14-$15/hour wage and flexible hours. You will also receive benefits like $300-$700 sign-on bonus, raises every six months, 401(k), pay for good grades, paid training, free swim lessons for family, and CPR certification.


In this role, you will work with kids in the pool, teaching them water safety and survival skills using our proven curriculum. Our core values include "Just keep swimming," "It's all about the kids," "No TV dinners," and "We care." We promote a healthy, active lifestyle and encourage our clients to constantly improve.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SWIM INSTRUCTOR / SWIM TEACHER

As a Swim Instructor / Swim Teacher, you will be working one-on-one with children or in small group settings to help teach swimming and safety. Friendly and personable, you will communicate regularly with parents to keep them updated on their student's progress levels.


Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Ability to be in the water for up to 5 hours each day
  • Ability to tread water while keeping students safe
  • Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly with students and parents
  • Willingness to learn and use feedback
