Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Tech to join our ambulatory surgery center. As a Medical Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures under the direction of your Physician.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares patients for exams and procedures, assessing their condition prior to and during all radiologic procedures.
  • Assembles necessary supplies and positioning aids for scheduling procedures according to your physician's preference card.
  • Tests and monitors equipment for proper working condition.
  • Documents records and other forms accurately, adhering to approved policies/procedures.
  • Confirms that all persons in your room are appropriately shielded before activating x-ray.
  • Communicates information about patients' status to other staff responsible for their care.
  • Performs required maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment by adhering to cleaning care, storage, and calibration procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiology required.
  • 1+ years' experience as a Radiology Technician required, preferably in an operating room or surgery center setting.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Required.
  • BLS required within 30 days of start.
  • State Radiology Technician license required.
